Remembering daily

I would like to open a dialog box for anyone to post, even anonymously, practical ways you have found in your daily life to remember God

Some of the worst feelings in my life have been lying in bed at night and admitting to God that I had not thought about Him that day

I have a few ideas to share, but desire to be a learner with you

What are you learning?

There is a breathing exercise I like. It is yogic, like where you breathe in the hurt (dark colors) and exhale healing (yellow maybe?)It wants to teach me compassion.
I like to think of it as "oystering."
The stuff
that
oysters
breathe in
isn't bad, really.
It is nutrient, not pollution.
But a trick or a turn
cleans and helps someone else
when the oysters breathe out clearer water.
Trees do it too!
they absorb CO2
and emit oxygen.
It may seem strange, but this reminds me of God.

I leave post-it notes everywhere around my room and in my planner...different verses that keep my heart focused and daily reminders like "yield to God today" or "pray constantly". I am still learning and trying to practice remembering God daily. I like the breathing exercise idea though..

Couple things-set my alarm to 6:33 so I remember to seek first His Kingdom...not mine (Matthew 6:33). Wear a cross, reminds me I am not my own, I was bought with a price, every time I feel it on me.

for me it starts with starting the day alone with Jesus...in my favorite chair or sitting outside in His creation. as i go through the day i have to fight the distractions that i am so easily attracted to and choose to see Him in every situation-even the ones i don't want to deal with.

The season of life I am in currently (a four year old and six year old - need I say more)does not always allow me the luxury of spending lots of time alone in God's word. Lately I have been trying to remember Him in the beauty that surrounds me. The beauty of our world, the beauty of relationships, the beauty of God's grace. It all amazes me and speaks of His character and love for us. Even when these things don't "work" as they should there is still some beauty in them. Another way I try to remember Him is by thinking about the word "rest" and what that means. "Come to me all ye who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest." During the day I try to allow Him to be my rest.

I like to think of Jesus when I'm afraid or worried about something. When I place Jesus in the situation with me, the problem doesn't seem as big or scary.
